Maia Acquaviva, founder of Oda House, moved to the United States from the country Georgia in 2007 as a trained plastic surgeon who re-discovered her culinary calling in New York City.
Maia Acquaviva is a native of the Republic of Georgia where she was a trained and successful plastic surgeon. As Managing Partner and Executive Chef of Oda House, she brings Georgian cuisine and a dose of Georgian culture and pride to the East Village. Maia moved to the United States from Georgia in 2007 and re-discovered her calling to cook upon which she took culinary courses in New York. The passion she had from an early age to cook blossomed and she became the Executive Chef at Russian restaurant Mari Vanna. Maia said, “Words cannot fully express how grateful I am for the opportunities that have been presented to me.” Her life motto is: If you want something with all your heart, the entire universe mobilizes around you to make your wishes come true!
